
Andrew Leipold is Chief Counsel for Academic Affairs in the Legal Affairs unit of Georgia Tech’s Office of the General Counsel, focusing on student life, admissions, and compliance matters. Since joining the Institute in 2022, he has contributed to the campus community as a MentorTech mentor and as an instructor for the Georgia Tech 1000 first-year seminar, supporting incoming students, including participants in the EXCEL program. A graduate of LEAD Atlanta’s Class of 2024, Andrew is committed to leadership development and fostering growth in higher education. He is also committed to advancing the university’s mission through thoughtful and practical legal guidance. His collaborative approach and deep understanding of higher education help foster a supportive and compliant campus environment.
His legal career includes service as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army and practice in private litigation. He holds a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and a B.A. from Clemson University.
