
Kate Wasch currently serves as interim Deputy General Counsel for Academic Affairs, Employment & Litigation in Legal Affairs, a unit of Georgia Tech’s Office of the General Counsel. She focuses on employment, cybersecurity, and litigation matters, and works closely with the investigations team in Internal Audit. Kate regularly facilitates training on the Open Records Act, Title VII, Title IX, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, and has taught undergraduate courses on constitutional law and trial techniques. She also coached Georgia Tech’s Mock Trial team, leading them to several regional titles and a national runner-up finish.
Beyond campus, Kate is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), where she has served on multiple committees and is currently a member of the legal education committee. She also contributed to the broader Atlanta community as a long-term member of the City of Atlanta Board of Ethics, serving as Chair from 2015 to 2019.
Kate holds a J.D. and M.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and a B.S. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
